In Memory

Terry Crone (Stoldt)

Terry (Crone) Stoldt, residing in Ashland, OH, after a difficult battle with COPD, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Ashland, Ohio to Homer and Denise Crone, Terry was described as a bundle of joy, laughter, love, and stubbornness. She was passionate about music from a very young age and participated in countless musical groups over the years. She attended the Ohio State University and achieved Bachelor's degrees in both Music Performance and Education. Terry met Curt Stoldt while at Ohio State, and immediately fell in love. They were married on August 30, 1970, went on to be married for 49 years and had two children together.

Terry worked various jobs throughout her life, mostly centered around her love of education and of music. She was a music teacher in the Sandusky School district, and Orchestra director in the Willard City Schools. She played harp professionally everywhere from upscale restaurants and weddings to the Norwalk Theater in Norwalk Ohio, the Firelands Symphony Orchestra, and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. She enjoyed gardening, the ocean, and putting her unique decorating talents to work. Terry was a fiercely tenacious, strong, independent, and loving mother, raising two equally tenacious and loving children. She was their biggest cheerleader and constant supporter. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in their hearts. Her family would not be where it is today without her as a mother.

Terry was predeceased by her husband Curt Stoldt, and both of her parents.

She leaves behind her daughter, Whitney Stoldt and son, Cameron Stoldt, as well as her sisters, Sherry Johnston and Liz Myers, and her brother in-law, Jay Myers, all of whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent), undying love and caring for them.

Memorial services will be held at a later date, and contributions can go to the UH Samaritan Medical Center ICU unit in Ashland, Ohio, for their amazing support and care for Terry in her final days,

Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
