Nancy J. Schiff age 66, of Ashland, died Saturday December 27, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Ashland on August 27, 1948, the daughter of Claude and Esther (Jones) Uber. Mrs. Schiff had been a resident of Ashland most all of her life. She had been a Nurse at a variety of Nursing Homes and Hospitals for over 40 years before retiring. Mrs. Schiff was a member of the Ashland Church of Christ; she enjoyed coordinating the funeral dinners for families. On October 15, 1972 Nancy married George Schiff on a Naval Air Station in Lake Hurst, New Jersey. Survivors include her husband, George of Ashland; her daughter and son in-law, Karen and Jim Martin of Louisville, KY.; her three grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Johnson of Mansfield and Dorothy Uber Burgin of Oregon. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David, Ronnie, Carl Wayne and Wesley Uber; along with her sister Ruth Ann Austin.
